Retreat FAQs

When does the retreat start/end?

Our opening session is on the evening of Thursday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. Our closing circle will end Sunday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m.

Who should attend?

All nurses at every stage of their careers including RNs, LPN/LVNs, advanced practice nurses – whether employed, unemployed, self-employed, retired, or student.

Do I have to make my own reservation to stay at Canyon Ranch?

Yes. To register for your resort stay call the Group Sales Office at 800-954-5005 (Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm ET). Retreat dates are March 19-22, a total of 4 days and 3 nights. If you wish to share a room, we can assist in pairing you with a roommate. Our group rates are good for a few nights before and after the retreat dates, so take advantage of staying extra time. (Please do not call Canyon Ranch’s main reservation number.)

Would it be appropriate to bring a spouse or friend who is not attending the retreat?

Absolutely, and I encourage it! There is plenty to do (spa treatments, campus activities, relaxing by the pool, etc.) while you are in retreat sessions. Likewise, you will have plenty of free time to spend with your guests or by yourself if you choose!

Are children allowed at Canyon Ranch?

No one under the age of 14 is permitted on the grounds.

What if I’d love to come but really can’t afford it right now?

Where there is a will there is always a way. We always find the time and money for the things that are truly important to us. Many employers have paid for their nurses to attend this CE event. Check with yours. If you don’t have the personal funds, ask for the trip (or part of it) as a gift from family or close friends. Asking for what you want and need is part of being an empowered nurse! Set a goal to be part of this event, and you will find a way to make it happen. Sharing a room will also help to reduce your cost. A limited number of partial scholarships for the retreat portion of the fee are available. Please contact Donna at Donna@DonnaCardillo.com for additional information.

Will continuing education credits be offered for nurses?

This activity has been submitted to the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) for approval to award contact hours. AHNA is an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). ANCC CE credits are accepted throughout the USA.

Can I deduct any of the expenses associated with this continuing education conference on my taxes?

This is a question for your tax preparer.

What if I want to stay a few extra days before or after the retreat and still get a discounted group rate?

Canyon Ranch will extend our discounted rate for a few days before and after the retreat dates. The rate is $890 double and $990 single per night. So you and your guests can extend your stay to fully take advantage of all that the resort has to offer. You’re already there – go for it!
