Support our military nurses

On March 9 I leave for Germany to speak at a military healthcare conference.  I will be addressing all of the healthcare professionals in a keynote address but will be working primarily with nurses in subsequent sessions. The conference is for personnel working at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center; this is the military facility that receives all of the casualties from Iraq and Afghanistan. The facility serves all branches of the military.

The nurses there are suffering extreme compassion fatigue as you can well imagine because of the severe trauma they are seeing. If anyone would like to write a note or card of support to those nurses, I will be bringing them with me to distribute while there. If you’d like to send something, it would have to be received in my office no later than March 7.  We cannot pass on sealed envelopes so please just enclose a letter or card.
