Poetry Power

unnamedWhen I was a young woman, my mother gave me a now classic book titled “Poems That Touch the Heart” (A.L. Alexander). It is a compilation of poems and essays from various artists. It has given me countless hours of reading pleasure and continues to do so today.

When’s the last time you read a book of poetry? Poetry helps us to see things in a unique way, understand difficult emotions, gain clarity on life issues, and just celebrate life. Borrow a few poetry books from your local library, search for poems online, or dust off a poetry book you have on your shelf. If you already have a fave book, poet, or poem, share it here.
