Observe and Elevate Those Around You

Observe and elevate those around youDuring recent air travel, I had a very short window of time to catch my connection. Plus, my connecting gate was a considerable distance away in a large airport. So I asked one of those airport transport vehicles for a lift. The driver began to bob and weave through a sea of people, many oblivious to their surroundings. I said to him, “You have a very difficult job maneuvering around all these people.” He got a very serious look on his face, nodded his head in agreement, and replied in appreciation, “You’re the first person ever to say that. Everyone always thinks this job is fun. They don’t know how hard it is.” Recognize, verbalize, and aggrandize.
