My Trip to Germany

I leave tomorrow evening for Germany (see 2/20 post Support Our Military Nurses). I have a sense of both anticipation and trepidation about visiting the hospitalized troops. I do feel privileged to have this opportunity to meet both our wounded service men and women and the nurses caring for them. Quite a few nurses and student nurses sent notes of support for the nurses, which I will deliver. Also, my sister’s 2nd grade class and my nephew’s boy scout troop have written letters to the troops which I will deliver. My sister in law, an OR nurse, is accompanying me.  I have often said that nursing will take you anywhere you want to go. I never imagined it would take me around the world!
