GrowthIn the book “Lucky,” author Alice Sebold, who was brutally raped as a young woman, says, “You have to save yourself or you remain unsaved.” That’s a powerful testament to self-reliance and the need to be proactive in our own personal growth and development. We often look to outside sources such as other people, entities (an employer), or substances (medication, etc.) to make things right for us. But in the end, we have to take responsibility for ourselves, our lives, and our careers.
