It’s always about the journey

I love to record and watch TV shows like America’s Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance. Yes, there is some real talent there and the shows are certainly entertaining. But what I enjoy most, and find most inspiring, is that every single person who takes that stage, is living their dream, taking a big risk, stepping out of their comfort zone, and just trying—often in spite of great obstacles in their personal lives.

Whether they make it all the way through or not, they have enriched themselves and those of us who watch, just by showing up. They are a little more alive, a little more whole, a little more experienced, and a little braver. In that way, each of them is a winner. It’s always about the journey…and the journey never ends.
