About Villa Pauline
Amid the beauty of over 100 acres of spacious lawns, gardens, walking paths, magnificent trees and woodlands, within the hills of Morris County, between the boroughs of Mendham and Bernardsville, lies Villa Pauline Retreat House. Initially, the house was the Cromwell Mansion, a large 44-room Georgian house dating back to 1892, on the estate of Seymour Cromwell, a president of the New York Stock Exchange (1921-1924), his wife, Agnes and their four children. Villa Pauline is reminiscent of “St. Francis Academy” in the vintage movie: The Trouble With Angels.
