Baby Steps, Baby Steps…

In Bill Murray’s 1991 movie ‘What About Bob?’ Bill plays a loveable neurotic named Bob to Richard Dreyfuss’s uptight psychiatrist character who wrote a book titled Baby Steps. Whenever Bob would get nervous or scared, he’d repeat to himself ‘Baby steps, baby steps” to remind himself to just put one foot in front of the other and move forward. Try ‘channeling’ Bob the next time you’re feeling anxious and overwhelmed. The technique works for me and always puts a smile on my face when I think of ‘Bob’ saying it.
