book-759873_640Whenever things get very difficult or challenging in my life, those times when I don’t know how I’ll get through another day or week, I try to step back and ask myself: What are the lessons I need to learn here?

Perhaps it’s to be more patient or compassionate, or to remind me of the suffering of others, or to bring me back to what is really important in my life. If you look at every situation, even the most painful and difficult ones, as an opportunity to learn and grow as a human being, your challenges will become a little more meaningful and your existence a little richer.
