The last week of the year is a good time to clean out & clean up your living space, desk, and so on. It’s also a good time to clean up any emotional issues that are lingering – old hurts, resentments, and regrets.

Journal about it, talk it over with a trusted friend, or write “letters” to yourself (from your loving, wiser self) and those who hurt you (you won’t be mailing them so you can really let it all hang out). Then burn the letters in the fireplace or otherwise destroy and dispose of them. You have to clean up the “clutter” and the “garbage” in every aspect of your life before you can move forward.

  1. Clearing out clutter can be such a powerful exercise, Donna. Thanks for the reminder. I was on a call last night and the speaker talked about excavation. How the simple process of removing material objects that are no longer being used can help us open up to more abundance in our lives. Getting things moving means things become unstuck and the energy can flow. Really wonderful post, thank you!
