Heal the Past, Create the Future

Today is a day that many people remember and honor the souls of those who are departed. However, regardless of one’s beliefs, we can all take time to reflect on those who came before us, be grateful for battles fought on our behalf, hardships endured to create a better life and unspoken acts of love. We also have the opportunity, while alive, to heal old wounds even from previous generations, stop the cycle of abuse, and let go of old anger and hurt and forgive, even those who are deceased. We are all a product or our past, both good and bad. But we have an enormous opportunity—in fact, an obligation—to pick up where our ancestors and departed loved ones left off, and create a better, brighter future.
